The Wedding Salon, an exclusive wedding fair, will take place at the Hanbury Manor Hotel and Country Club on February 28, 2010.

About sixty brides-to-be are invited to this exclusive event with cocktails which will be served to selected guests. Each of the brides-to-be will get personalized business cards with their contact details and their wedding dates.

Exhibitors for this event are going to be handpicked by the organizers. These exhibitors can provide services ranging from planning to photography and showcase wedding accessories that will enhance the beauty of the brides in their special day.

Guest speakers are invited at the event to share their expertise and secrets in conducting successful weddings.

Event organizer Paul Russell said that the Wedding Salon stands above the rest because they come up with an elegant and sophisticated event which goes beyond the usual handing down of flyers to exhibitors.

Luxury lingerie store bucks recession with positive revenues

Pudding, a known luxury lingerie store located in The Walk in Reading, posted a positive revenue spike late last year despite the recession that’s being felt globally.

The Christmas period was particularly busy for the department with sales soaring up 34 percent higher in 2009 as compared to the same period in 2008.

Pudding sells designer lingerie, nightwear, swimwear and other products produced by known designers such as D&G and Chloe. The price range of the products is between $50 and $200 for bras and $80 and $300 for lingerie sets.

Establishment owner Paul Masters said that their strategy of making most of their products more accessible to the people paid off since the prices have become more budget-friendly.

Co-owner Helen masters said that they are looking forward to releasing new styles in the next three months to keep up the momentum.

Sonia Rykiel impresses Parisian crowd on its new lingerie set

The Grand Palais in Paris was filled on Tuesday night as the audience was treated with the latest lingerie sets by Sonia Rykiel for H&M. The show started with British model Lily Cole making a grant entrance behind the reins of a large horse head float. She was then followed by a long line of attractive models wearing the latest bridal lingerie set by Sonia Rykiel. The said products are slated for release next year.

What made the occasion also unique was that the collections shown to the public are the ones that are expected to become available in stores.

Accountant found guilty of stealing £120,000 worth of lingerie

A man believed to have a sexual fetish for women’s lingerie will be spending more than a year in jail after he was found guilty of shoplifting more than six thousand women’s underwear, including bridal lingerie sets, from retail store Marks and Spencer. 48-year old David O’Connell was jailed for sixteen months after stealing the underwear believed to be worth more than 120,000 pounds. The suspect later admitted that aside from stealing the lingerie from stores and hiding it in his house, he personally wears them from time to time to satisfy his fetish. The authorities discovered the massive lingerie collection at his home in Coventry after he was arrested for shoplifting at a Marks and Spencer branch locat at the High Street area. The lingerie sets were believed to have been stolen and amassed in the past two and a half years.

Bridal gown replicas from vampire movie go on sale – report

The fans of the vampire novel turned movie “Twilight” can get their own bridal gown that is patterned exactly the one used in the movie by Kristen Stewart, who’s portraying the role of Bella Swan.

According to reports, a bridal shop in Port Angeles, Washington is selling these Bella Swan bridal gown replicas. Swan was said to have worn a blue gown at the end part of the movie as she was dancing with Robert Pattinson, who’s portraying vampire Edward Cullen.

The shop’s name is Black Diamond Bridal. Store owner Belva Bodey said that they were able to create the replica because the scene was shot at a nearby town (Forks). She revealed that there were able to make four units so far. She added that one of the dresses will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to charity. The remaining three bridal gowns will go on sale in the shop for less than $150.
